Cookie Policy
This policy describes the browser storage and consent technologies actually used by KLANS.

1. Cookies and browser storage
Cookies are small pieces of information a website can store through the browser. Browsers can also provide localStorage, which stores simple site preferences without creating an account. The current KLANS implementation uses localStorage for site preferences and consent; it does not currently set analytics, advertising or marketing cookies.
2. Necessary storage used by KLANS
KLANS stores three first-party browser preferences: klans-language remembers English or Spanish; klans-theme remembers light or dark mode; and klans-consent stores your consent choice and the time it was updated. These values are used only to remember choices you make on the site.
3. Optional technologies
No optional analytics, advertising, marketing pixels or similar tracking technologies are currently enabled in KLANS. Accepting optional technologies therefore does not activate any analytics or marketing service in the current implementation. If optional technology is introduced in a future implementation, it must respect the saved consent choice and this policy must be updated to describe it accurately.
4. Retention
localStorage has no automatic expiry date. Language, theme and consent preferences normally remain until you change them, clear this site’s browser data, use browser privacy controls that remove them, or the application changes the relevant storage version.
5. Online game state
The Human-vs-Computer game uses browser memory while a match is running. The current implementation does not use persistent cookies or localStorage to create a continuing player profile or server-side game history.
6. Changing your choice
You can reopen the consent preferences at any time through Cookie Settings in the global footer. You can also clear KLANS site data using your browser settings. If the stored consent preference is removed, the consent banner will appear again on your next visit.
7. Cookie settings
Your consent record is stored locally under klans-consent. You do not need to clear browser storage manually to change it.
